On August 3, 2022, I passed my PhD oral defense at the University of the Cumberlands! I gave a presentation to the committee consisting of three professors and a moderator. My presentation included the overview, the qualitative research design, the research questions, assumption, limitation, and implications for the future. It was a good experience. The professors had positive remarks and asked me general questions. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it went. I felt comfortable, although I was at the tail end of Covid and still had a slight cough, so cough drops and water were always handy.
After two years of PhD classes and one year of writing my dissertation, I have achieved the status of "Dr. Apostolides." It is an honor to hold this title. It has not come easy. A lot of time, effort, and commitment have paid off. I hope to take my dissertation and one day make it into a book, as recommended by my advisor and the other professors.
